New Feature: Google Shared Drive Access

Now, in version 1.4.5+ of the Add to Sheets Chrome extension, you can access Google Shared Drive (previously called Team Drive) spreadsheets in addition to your personal Google Drive spreadsheets. This is currently available as an experimental feature in the extension and is disabled by default.

This feature is useful if you have spreadsheets in a shared drive that you want to access and update using the extension.

Shared Drive support setting

To enable this feature for use:

  1. Update the allowed file access in the extension
  2. Open the extension settings by clicking on the profile dropdown in the extension and selecting Settings.

  1. Then, toggle the Team Drive access setting to enable it.
  2. Refresh the Select a spreadsheet dropdown
  3. The spreadsheets that you have allowed access to from the shared drive will now be available in the dropdown to select.
