Is the extension secure?
Yes! Add to Sheets is secure. The extension only sends data to Google Sheets when you use the extension to add content to a sheet. Your data is stored locally in your browser and never leaves your browser except to go to Google Sheets.
Is this extension free?
Yes! Add to Sheets is free to use. You can install it from the Chrome Web Store and start adding content to your Google Sheets right away.
There is also a Pro version available with additional features, such as the ability have more columns configured, create groups, and find email addresses, links, and image URLs on websites. You can upgrade to the Pro version from within the extension.
How do I install the extension?
To install Add to Sheets, visit the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. Follow the prompts to add the extension to your browser.
What Google Sheets permissions does the extension require?
Add to Sheets requires permission to view and edit Google Sheets that you allow the extension to access. This is necessary for the extension to add content to your sheets.
The specific permissions requested are:
userinfo.email
- to get your email addressuserinfo.profile
- to get your namespreadsheets
- to view and manage your spreadsheets in Google Drive that the extension has access todrive.file
- to view and manage files in Google Drive that the extension has access to
Where is my data stored?
All of your data is stored locally in your browser. That means it never leaves your browser and is not stored any where else. This ensures your privacy and security.
The Add to Sheets extension does not store any of your spreadsheet data on our servers. The extension only sends data to Google Sheets when you use the extension to add content to a sheet.
If you upgrade to the Pro version, your payment information is stored securely by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. We only save the information necessary to process your payment and provide you with the Pro features.
What browsers are supported?
Currently, Add to Sheets is available for Google Chrome, Brave, and Microsoft Edge. We would like to support other Chromium-based browsers (like Arc and Vivaldi) in the future. If you have any questions about this, please let us know.
